For almost 30 years The Outland Complex has been a staple in the live music scene of Springfield, MO. Providing the widest variety of entertainment, The Complex houses three interconnected venues; The Outland, The Outland Ballroom and Front of House Lounge.
The Outland has an intimate vibe with booth seating in the bar area and a stage in the adjoining room. Open 7 days a week hosting local and touring bands, DJ’s, stand-up comics, and a weekly open mic night. Largely unchanged since it replaced the SOUTHLAND Restaurant in the late 80’s (the sign was missing the ‘S’ and ‘H’, hence the name), the room is soaked in live music history.
The Outland Ballroom is the big brother of the Outland, located on the second floor with twice the capacity and an open feel. Featuring national level entertainers and musicians every week along with all the local favorites, the Ballroom has established itself as a premier venue in the Midwest. Front of House Lounge (formerly the Highlife) completes the triad with its own stage and eclectic atmosphere. Serving as a main entrance to The Ballroom, FOH provides another choice to patrons with weekly movies, sports, DJ’s and live music. Most nights have NO Cover charge!
